Kniphofia

A herbaceous perennial with tufts of long, soft, grass-like leaves. The yellow to orange to red flowers are borne in dense clusters at the tips of long, leafless stems.

Being native to Africa, the Kniphofia is very good at outsmarting the heat. While many other flowers wilt and die under the burning sun, this hothead remains, making it a perfect flower in your summer garden (or in-house, in a vase).
