A bulbous plant with small star-shaped florets filling out the top of the stem. Dependent on the species, the florets are draped in a circular shape, or in a triangular form.

Ornithogalum originates from the greek word ornithos ‘bird’ and gala ‘milk’. In other languages (Dutch, Italian, Spanish) the common name is Bird’s milk.

Care tips

The flowers are very strong and do not need flower food, but it can’t do any harm if you need it for other flowers.
