Showtime at the Tower Ballroom
During the year, competition heats are held around the country and florists can participate to win a place in the final competition. The eight highest scoring florists throughout the country got an invitation to compete in the Live final. This year’s competition was on-trend with a ‘Strictly’ theme of ‘Showtime at the Tower Ballroom, Blackpool’. The five tasks all reflected this topic. From showgirl headdresses to large floor standing floral arrangements for the ballroom.
Maria Marshall, who won a highly commended award, said:
“I entered the Skills competition because I wanted a challenge to see just what I could achieve. It’s been an incredible week and I don’t want it to end. Give Skills ago, you learn such a lot.”
